2019 APLA Merit Award Winner - Beth Maddigan

The APLA Merit Award honours an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to library services in the Atlantic Provinces. The Atlantic Provinces Library Association is pleased to announce that this year's recipient of the APLA Merit Award is Beth Maddigan. Beth is a leading advocate and champion of libraries and literacies in Newfoundland and Labrador.

2019 APLA Advocacy Award Submissions Now Being Accepted

Presented at the Banquet during the Annual Conference, the APLA Advocacy Award, valued at $500, recognizes exemplary library promotion, advocacy and outreach. The Awards Committee, which will consist of the APLA Advocacy Interest Group and a member of the APLA Executive, will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:

The Education Institute (EI) is a professional development & continuing education program for the library community developed by The Partnership of Provincial and Territorial Library Associations of Canada. The EI offers a wide variety of webinars and online courses, encompassing all areas of librarianship. Fees are typically $45 for members and $55 for non-members, unless otherwise indicated.
