Grow-A-Library Silent Auction

The APLA Grow-A-Library Committee needs your special talents and donations for our first ever virtual silent auction happening this June at our annual conference! All winning bids will be donated in full to 1 of 3 Atlantic provinces literacy organizations (of the bidder’s choosing, more on that soon!). eGift cards and services that can be posted virtually are much appreciated, as well as physical items both purchased and/or handmade. Be creative! 

APLA Memorial Award - Call for Applications

Do you need financial assistance for study or research? The APLA Memorial Trust provides funding for projects that contribute to the development of your career and are of benefit to the library profession, through research, educational opportunity, or other appropriate endeavour. Applicants must be members of APLA. 

Previous applicants and winners are eligible.

To apply, send a letter outlining your proposed project and estimated costs, and a copy of your curriculum vitae. Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2020.

I’m reaching out to announce the move of APLA’s 2021 conference, Cross Pollinate. Cultivate. Change/ Brasser des idées. S'épanouir. Changer., to an online event. Due to the unpredictable circumstances for the upcoming year, the APLA Executive and the APLA Conference Committee decided it was safest for our members and our communities to hold the conference virtually.

Le 1 mars, 2020, Marc Harper a passé au Téléjournal Acadie comme représentant du Comité exécutif de l’APLA. L’entrevue était dans le cadre de l’embauche du nouveau Directeur des bibliothèques publiques du Nouveau-Brunswick. Le reportage commence à trois minutes et 39 secondes.

On March 1, 2020, Marc Harper was interviewed on “Téléjournal Acadie” as a representative of APLA’s Executive Committee. The interview was regarding the hiring of the new Director of the New-Brunswick Public Library Service. The story begins at three minutes and 39 seconds.
