Description of this first session:
The concept of identifying and mastering transferable skills is one of the most critical issues for today's professionals in all work environments and career paths. Transferable skills are those skills that you will develop in one position that you are able to take with you when you leave and transfer into different contexts and situations, i.e. communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, and more.
Julie will introduce Figler's transferable skills concept: what are they? how does a manager train staff in these skills? how does a manager recognize these skills in potential new hires?
