CODE - new library to support
CODE - our new Library
Last year, APLA's Grow a Library very successfully adopted a library in Africa through CODE. Our fundraising efforts have helped the MOJO library and thanks to Donna Bourne-Tyson and her Committee for taking this on and raising the needed $2500!
As Past President, I chair the Grow the Library Committee and the group this year has chosen another worthy library to adopt through CODE, the Solomon-Mahlangu library in Tanzania.

Check out this library at the above link. You can go in and support this library on your own, help out with the Grow A Library Committee or conduct your own event to raise money. It is a great cause!

1 comment postedIt is absolutely amazing to know that APLA has raised so much money to aid a library in Ethiopia. However, it would be great to find out how the library is doing... Does the Grow a Library Committee receive any updates on their prior adopted libraries or their current library? If so, are these available to APLA members/the public?
I hope your efforts to raise money for the Solomon-Maglangu library go as well as that of Mojo!
